Scott Vogel v. The Ghost Inside
Okay, artists are going to have opinions about other artists and they’re not always going to be positive.
I don’t think The Ghost Inside is that great, personally. I like them, but eh. And while they have elements of hardcore and the potential to be a great hardcore band, I wouldn’t consider them a one. Yeah, a lot of hardcore has to do with the message and attitude, but dude, let’s not forget that it’s also a music genre.
Scott Vogel had an opinion about a band. I don’t think that really matters. I mean maybe he should have kept it to himself, but chances are he keeps 90% of his negative opinions towards bands to himself for the sake of being cordial. Even the singer of TGI argued that hardcore is supposed to be about honesty. Maybe I’m splitting hairs with that one, but whatever. Even if he insulted them, who really cares.
And I may be a little bit biased, but nevertheless, there’s one thing everybody who’s upset about this seems to be forgetting.
IF IT WASN’T FOR SCOTT VOGEL AND TERROR HALF THE FUCKING HARDCORE BANDS YOU LISTEN TO AND HAVE HEARD OF WOULDN’T EVEN FUCKING EXIST YOU IDIOTS
YOU CAN’T JUST IGNORE THAT HE WAS ONE OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE IN HARDCORE MUSIC JUST BECAUSE HE HAS AN OPINION THAT YOU DON’T FUCKING LIKE HOLY SHIT
